Update: Seismic activity on Jan. 11 – 5.2 magnitude earthquake close to Miyako, Japan reported

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Miyako at midday on Sunday.

The tremor jolted the area at 04:15 UTC (13:15 local time). It occurred at a depth of 80 km with the epicenter situated approximately 19 km west-southwest of Miyako.
