Thursday morning, a 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Scotia Sea, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 08:14 UTC (06:14 local time), the area was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter of Scotia Sea.
