5.3 magnitude earthquake registered close to Hadibu, Yemen on July 17

HADIBU, Socotra — A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred near Hadibu on Friday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor shook the area at 12:01 UTC (16:01 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was about 203 km north of Hadibu and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
