BANGGAI REGENCY, Central Sulawesi — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Luwuk on Monday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor shook the area at 07:31 UTC (15:31 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was approximately 34 km west-northwest of Luwuk and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
