Seismic activity on Sept. 14: Earthquake close to Gizo, Solomon Islands reported – magnitude 5.2

A 5.2 magnitude quake struck near Gizo on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the area at 16:15 UTC (03:15 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter about 135 km southeast of Gizo.
