A 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Vilyuchinsk Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor hit the area at 14:24 UTC (01:24 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located about 172 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
