Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake detected close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 30

A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 14:00 UTC (01:00 local time). The epicenter was situated about 137 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 30 km.
