July 30: Earthquake measuring 5.1 hits region close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Vilyuchinsk Wednesday morning.

The tremor jolted the area at 14:01 UTC (01:01 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located approximately 146 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
