A 5.8 magnitude quake was reported near Vilyuchinsk Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the region at 10:35 UTC (21:35 local time), was centered about 167 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. It occurred at a depth of 16 km.
