Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on Sept. 19

A 5.2 magnitude quake was registered close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 17:06 UTC (04:06 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 14 km, with its epicenter roughly 172 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
