SAN RAFAEL DEL YUMA, La Altagracia Province — Tuesday morning, a 5.0 magnitude quake was registered near Boca de Yuma, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 09:23 UTC (05:23 local time). The epicenter was located about 37 km east-southeast of Boca de Yuma, at a depth of 184 km.

Moderate shaking has been recorded and residents reported experiencing the tremor in multiple cities, such as Luquillo, San Juan, Caguas and Guaynabo according to the USGS DYFI report.
