Update: July 27 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake detected near Sola, Vanuatu

A 5.0 magnitude quake jolted near Sola on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which rattled the area at 20:10 UTC (07:10 local time), was centered approximately 97 km southeast of Sola. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
