HADIBU, Socotra — A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred near Hadibu on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 12:01 UTC (16:01 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was about 212 km north of Hadibu and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
