5.0 magnitude earthquake jolts close to Uto, Japan on July 30

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Uto on Thursday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 13:47 UTC (22:47 local time). The epicenter was about 2 km west-northwest of Uto, at a depth of 10 km.
