A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to central Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Monday around midnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 01:18 UTC (00:18 local time). The epicenter was of central Mid-Atlantic Ridge, at a depth of 10 km.
