Update: Seismic activity on Aug. 22 – earthquake 2025 Southern Drake Passage detected

A 7.5 magnitude quake was recorded close to Southern Drake Passage Earthquake Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which slammed the area at 02:16 UTC (22:16 local time), was centered of Southern Drake Passage Earthquake. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
