MANGGARAI REGENCY, East Nusa Tenggara — A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Ruteng on Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The tremor hit at 22:28 UTC (06:28 local time), with its epicenter about 33 km north of Ruteng and a depth of 10 km.

Six quakes of magnitude 5.5 or higher have been detected in the region over the last week. The largest one was a 5.9 earthquake that was registered close to Labuan Bajo on Aug. 15.
