EAST MANGGARAI REGENCY, East Nusa Tenggara — A 5.8 magnitude quake hit close to Ruteng on Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 22:45 UTC (06:45 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter about 29 km north-northeast of Ruteng.
