Sept. 19: Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude detected near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia

A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor hit at 14:07 UTC (01:07 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 169 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 10 km.
