NORTH PENTECOST, Penama Province — A 5.7 magnitude quake was recorded close to Norsup Tuesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 22:36 UTC (09:36 local time). The epicenter was located about 95 km east-northeast of Norsup, at a depth of 35 km.
