Update: Earthquake jolts region near Syriam, Burma (Myanmar) on May 18 – 5.2 magnitude detected

A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Syriam on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the area at 02:05 UTC (08:35 local time). The epicenter was approximately 41 km south-southeast of Syriam, at a depth of 10 km.
