Update: Seismic activity on Feb. 28 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake near Hirara, Japan registered

Saturday evening, a 5.1 magnitude quake was detected near Hirara, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 12:56 UTC (20:56 local time), the region was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake hit at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 66 km north-northwest of Hirara.
