A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Shi Yomi on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the area at 10:06 UTC (15:36 local time), was centered roughly 60 km north-northeast of Shi Yomi. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
