On Tuesday around midday, a 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the area at 01:47 UTC (12:47 local time). It occurred at a depth of 22 km with the epicenter situated approximately 137 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
