A 5.1 magnitude quake struck close to Ternate on Friday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 10:59 UTC (19:59 local time). The epicenter was roughly 136 km northwest of Ternate, at a depth of 35 km.
