A 5.0 magnitude quake was detected near Yamada Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 15:46 UTC (01:46 local time). The epicenter was situated roughly 117 km east of Yamada, at a depth of 10 km.
