Update: Nov. 24 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake registered close to central Mid-Atlantic Ridge

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to central Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Monday around midnight.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 02:21 UTC (00:21 local time). The epicenter was situated of central Mid-Atlantic Ridge, at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.4 event, but later downgraded it to 5.3.
