Update: Earthquake measuring 5.3 shakes area close to central East Pacific Rise on Nov. 28

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.3 magnitude quake hit near central East Pacific Rise Friday night.

The tremor, which struck the region at 05:18 UTC (22:18 local time), was centered of central East Pacific Rise. It occurred at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later upgraded to 5.3.
