BUOL REGENCY, Central Sulawesi — A 5.4 magnitude quake struck close to Gorontalo on Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 13:46 UTC (21:46 local time). The epicenter was approximately 194 km west-northwest of Gorontalo, at a depth of 35 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later upgraded to 5.4.
