JURM, Badakhshan — A 6.1 magnitude quake occurred near Jurm on Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 13:34 UTC (18:04 local time). It occurred at a depth of 199 km with the epicenter about 43 km south of Jurm.
