Jan. 10: Earthquake measuring 5.0 strikes region close to Banda Sea

Saturday morning, a 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Banda Sea, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 20:43 UTC (05:43 local time), the area was rattled by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 173 km, with its epicenter of Banda Sea.

Two earthquakes closeby past week
