A 6.0 magnitude quake was recorded close to southeast Indian Ridge Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 01:53 UTC (07:53 local time), was centered of southeast Indian Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
