Update: July 24 – 5.6 magnitude earthquake reported near Masamba, Indonesia

POSO REGENCY, Central Sulawesi — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.6 magnitude quake jolted near Masamba Thursday night.

A tremor shook the area at 13:08 UTC (21:08 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 60 km north-northeast of Masamba and occurred at a depth of 35 km.
