A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 21:53 UTC (09:53 local time), a tremor shook the region at a depth of 72 km, with its epicenter roughly 62 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
