PENONOMÉ DISTRICT, Coclé Province — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Río Grande on Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the area at 04:19 UTC (23:19 local time). The epicenter was roughly 238 km south-southwest of Río Grande, at a depth of 10 km.
