Update: 5.2 magnitude earthquake shakes near Ternate, Indonesia on April 2

A 5.2 magnitude quake hit near Ternate on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 07:04 UTC (16:04 local time). The epicenter was approximately 114 km west-northwest of Ternate, at a depth of 35 km.
