Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 strikes area near Pagan region, Northern Mariana Islands on April 2

A 5.2 magnitude quake hit close to Pagan region on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 06:13 UTC (16:13 local time). The epicenter was of Pagan region, at a depth of 94 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later downgraded it to 5.2.
