Update: Earthquake jolts region near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on Aug. 5 – 5.2 magnitude registered

A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 21:45 UTC (08:45 local time), with its epicenter situated about 145 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 10 km.
