According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Friday morning.

A tremor struck the area at 23:53 UTC (10:53 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 140 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 58 km.
