One winning streak was extended as another was ended when the two hard-to-beat teams, the Muskegon Lumberjacks and the Madison Capitols, faced each other at Trinity Health Arena on Friday, March 27, 2025.
Muskegon won 6-2 and claimed their sixth straight win. Before the game, Muskegon had six wins in a row.
The Lumberjacks took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Jack Galanek. David Klee assisted.
The Capitols’ Colton Jamieson tied the game in the first period, assisted by Mason Moe and Finn Brink.
Four goals were scored in the second period, and the Capitols led 4-2 going in to the third period.
The Capitols increased the lead to 5-2 within the first minute when Sam Kappell beat the goalie, assisted by Charlie Michaud and Jet Kwajah.
Mason Moe increased the lead to 6-2 with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Ryker Lee and Jet Kwajah.
The Lumberjacks were whistled for three penalties, while the Capitols received five penalties.
