A 5.3 magnitude quake struck close to Ruteng on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted the area at 09:30 UTC (17:30 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter roughly 42 km north-northeast of Ruteng.
