Aug. 1: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude recorded near Tsunō, Japan

KOYU DISTRICT, Miyazaki — A 5.2 magnitude quake shook near Tsunō on Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted the area at 19:10 UTC (04:10 local time). It occurred at a depth of 26 km with the epicenter approximately 48 km east-southeast of Tsunō.
