Update: July 27 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake registered near Georgetown, Saint Helena

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Georgetown on Monday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 22:32 UTC (21:32 local time). The epicenter was approximately 103 km east-northeast of Georgetown, at a depth of 10 km.
