Update: Seismic activity on July 23 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake near Tatsugō, Japan detected

OSHIMA DISTRICT, Kagoshima — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Tatsugō on Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 09:22 UTC (18:22 local time), with its epicenter approximately 79 km southeast of Tatsugō and a depth of 10 km.
