A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Kirakira on Wednesday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 08:33 UTC (19:33 local time), a tremor shook the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 147 km east-southeast of Kirakira.
