Update: Earthquake hits region near Indian-Antarctic Ridge on April 5 – 5.2 magnitude reported

A 5.2 magnitude quake jolted close to Indian-Antarctic Ridge on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 08:24 UTC (16:24 local time), was centered west of Indian-Antarctic Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 4.7 but later upgraded to 5.2.
