Update: Seismic activity on July 19 – 5.4 magnitude earthquake close to Qarnābād, Iran detected

ALIABAD, Golestan Province — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred near Qarnābād Saturday morning.

A tremor struck the area at 21:37 UTC (01:07 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 29 km east of Qarnābād and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
