Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 hits area close to Georgetown, Saint Helena on Jan. 20

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake jolted near Georgetown Tuesday morning.

A tremor struck the region at 06:04 UTC (05:04 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 274 km south-southeast of Georgetown and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
