Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 jolts area close to Mohr, Iran on Jan. 23

PARSIAN, Hormozgan Province — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake shook near Mohr Friday afternoon.

At 11:18 UTC (14:48 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 57 km southeast of Mohr.
