A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Bitung on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The tremor, which jolted the area at 08:38 UTC (17:38 local time), was centered about 120 km east-southeast of Bitung. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
